We get nowt for our poll tax from the City Council. We are a cash cow for needier constituencies within the Council's boundaries. Yet we are right on the border of two other boroughs: Torfaen; and Monmouthshire. Why shouldn't we vote with our taxes and junk Newport for one or other of them? Hopefully we will then get value for money from what we have to pay in tax. Right now, we are just giving to charity (and it isn't starting at home). Caerleon, Mon. Now that would ring nicely, wouldn't it?
